Making a sketch throws "Error: Not an Object" Alert

Steps to reproduce:

1. Log In
2. Sketch a rectangle on the graph with a start point and an end point
   Expected: A rectangle appears on the screen
   Actual: A rectangle is visible on the screen along with an alert message that reads "Error: Not an Object"
