Effect presets as a step in that direction would be awesome! We could literally make them just be like the current preset system, and you can drag the preset into the effect stack to drop it to the top of the stack. |

As for the question, the first one sounds better, IMO. With the resizable mixer, it would flow nicer than if there was a window you could lose track of under all the effects you open. |

In addition to being able to save effects as presets,
it would be *awesome* to be able to group effects together and move them around, save them as a preset, copy them to other instruments, or just to make things more organized.
It would be even cooler if these "effect groups" could have optional linkable knobs at the front which the user can assign to whatever knobs in the effects. That way people would be able to put together a super cool effect chain, put it in a group with user-friendly controls, and save it as a preset for people to use!
The reason I'm making this discussion post is to ask you guys, How should effect groups work?
