There is a very interesting plugin to analyze the frequency of sounds created by a Russian named Max Mikhailov. This plugin is very precise and one of the best there is.

Implementation Details / Mockup

I have not yet tried to install the plugin in LMMS, however, I think it could be an improvement if the software has a spectrum analyzer natively.

LMMS already has a native spectrum analyzer.

However, it needs to be done better because it is small, immutable, etc. But yes, we have a nice spectrum analyzer.
