JupyterLab startup time is long (~several minutes)
Line wrapping fails with meta characters. On Mac running Chrome option+vcommand+v leads to a overflowing line.
Key repeats don't seem to be enabled (holding a does not repeat)
Center click does not work to copy and paste text from notebook to terminal (Firefox on SL6). In fact, I can't figure out any way to copy and paste text on this system...
Ctrl+b shows/hides the tool bar, rather than moving the cursor to the beginning of the line (standard readline cursor movement)
Emacs is mostly unusable due to conflicts with browser keybindings (i.e. ctrl-n, ctrl-w, ctrl-v, etc.). See emacs and lsst-lspdev #56 for more discussion of emacs issues.
nano is not installed. Are there other light weight editors that are not vim?

This is known, and we are looking at ways to bring it down. Unfortunately, it is even worse on the NCSA deployment, but at least there, we don't need to be as careful about resources.

@kadrlica Now that we are on the LSP at NCSA, I changed the issue title and added checkboxes to the issue list in the top comment, so we can check off the things that are no longer issues. Would you mind doing some box-ticking, and also add any new problems with the NCSA system please? Thanks!
