Theoretically it should be possible to analyze the pixel differences between a new and old version of a block diagram. That way, if someone only changes one case of a case structure, the tool could indicate to only look at the comparison between the old and the new version. This could be indicated by drawing on the background of the affected comparisons.
I have more thoughts on this I can expound on later.
