The desired behaviour of holding n, f, b, p to move the camera is a smooth scroll in that direction, but this is not (always) the case.

Testing with different Emacs configs and "distros", gives varying results, e.g. occasional blinking to working. Unfortunately, I have been unable to determine using M-x profiler-start the cause of this.
