Hi, and thank you for your amazing work on Lawnicons! I’d like to propose an idea to enhance the user experience when dealing with unsupported apps.
Currently, when an app doesn't have a dedicated icon in Lawnicons, it often disrupts the overall visual consistency. To address this, I suggest creating a set of placeholder icons that represent letters (A-Z), numbers (0-9), and potentially a few common symbols. These placeholder icons could be used temporarily for apps without official support.
For example, if the app Uniqlo doesn’t have a custom Lawnicon, users could manually assign a placeholder icon with the letter "U" through a simple selection interface. Alternatively, if feasible, the launcher could automatically assign a placeholder icon based on the app’s name or package identifier for even greater convenience. This dual approach would give users the flexibility to customize as needed while maintaining a consistent look for unsupported apps.
This feature would significantly improve the usability and visual appeal of Lawnicons, especially for apps that don’t yet have custom icons. I’d be happy to discuss further details or contribute ideas if needed.
Thank you for considering this suggestion!

The letters have already been added, but I see little point in numbers and special characters, since there are very few such applications and it is better to make a unique icon for them.
Thank you for sharing this information! I wanted to ask if this feature has been implemented in Lawnchair yet? If so, how can we use these placeholder icons? Thanks a lot!
Thank you for clarifying! I’ll try the Lawnicons Nightly version and look forward to Lawnicons 2.13. Appreciate the update and your continued efforts in improving the project. I believe this will be a great enhancement for the community. 😊
