Bug description

I bought a new E-reader from Pocketbook. By creating an Pocketbook Account a new Adobe ID was created. This ID only works for E-books that are bought through the pocketbook store. First i could not geht any of my older DRM ed E-Books to open up on the pocketbook reader. I had to ad my old Adobe ID which is used to handle DRM for my older books. Now two Adobe ID's are active on my pocketbook reader so i can read my older books and some of the new books bought through the pocketbook store on the device.

I looked for a way to ad my new pocketbook AdobeID to the deascm plugin as well so i can read books from the pocketbook store with calibre. However i was unable to find a solution for the issue.

I looked for a way to ad my new pocketbook AdobeID to the deascm plugin as well so i can read books from the pocketbook store with calibre.

Adding your ID to the plugin doesn't make it so that you can read these books. This plugin is only used to download new books and to link them to your AdobeID. You would only need to add your second account if you wanted to download new books with Calibre and link them to your Pocketbook account.

To be able to read books in Calibre you need the DeDRM plugin and would need to configure that with your Pocketbook key.

I know that. But i cant even Download E-Books from the pocketbook store to beginn with because my Adobe ID stored in the deascm plugin is not the same that is used for the pocketbook store. Without the ability to add the pocketbook Adobe ID i couldnt even configure the calibre dedrm plugin.

Okay maybe I'm not correctly understanding the issue.

For books you previously bought and downloaded from the Pocketbook store, these are linked to your Pocketbook ID. You can just copy them all over from your Pocketbook reader and import them into Calibre without this plugin.

For books you buy in the future from the Pocketbook store, why not just use your normal AdobeID to do that? Or do you need / want to keep buying new books from their store using the Pocketbook ID?

And if it's just a one-time issue to get the account into DeDRM - just take a backup of the current authorization, remove it, connect your Pocketbook account, export its DRM key, and then re-import your Adobe authorization backup.

Right now, there's no dual-account setup possible in the plugin; and even if that gets added in the future, it's not going to be user-friendly since it requires you to open the settings menu to choose between accounts each time and it would have a high chance of accidentally linking a book to the wrong account.
