Sync color settings when using firefox account

It seems like all preferences/extension settings are kept locally, afaik there's a way to save those settings in a way that sync across multiple devices when using the same account, which would be great as I always need to change colors whenever I use another computer

That's probably a matter of using storage.sync.

However, I guess that some people may use Sync but have different theme colors? Then they may not want to sync the settings of this add-on. So I would need to figure out how to make both storage APIs interact properly.
