<li>Creating a repo on my local machine by:</li>
<ul>

<li>Using <strong>mkdir "name-of-repo"</strong> to create a directory,</li>
<li>Then I switched to the newly created directory using <strong>cd "newly-created-directory"</strong></li>
<li>Initialized the Repo using <strong>git init</strong></li>
</ul>
<li>Cloning into the repo in the upstream on my local machine using <strong>git clone https://github.com/"my-username"/"name-of-repo"</strong></li>
<li> Now I have the files on my machine</li>
</ol>
<p>Then I setup my upstream using <strong>git remote add origin "link-to-upstream"</strong></p>
<p>After editing the files, I saved it and pushed it to Github using the below steps:</p>
<ol type = "1">
<li>Using <strong>git add "file-name"</strong>, I was able to prepare the files to be committed.</li>
<li>Using <strong> git commit -m "commit-message"</strong>, my files are now ready to be pushed.</li>
<li><strong>git push origin master</strong></li>
</ol>

<p>It was a wonderful experience indeed and I encourage every dev to learn how to use 'git'.</p>
<p>once you wrap your head around it you will see how easy it actually is. Well at least for a start</p>
