If you try to drop or put the soup away after clicking to use it, it will still use and consume the item from either your bag or the floor. I assume this interaction is unintentional as this is not the case for the various potions.

Unconfirmed that this is causing it but my game has started closing down after putting away an item that was taken out during the animation. The specific process of events leading to this is, on Tundra, starting the soup animation, dropping it, casting (tome) ice shield, pulling out Bear Claws and going into bear form, exiting bear form and then putting away Bear Claws.
Potions have a system in which they're supposed to work. Given that this is a consumable, it should be a "potion" internally, but it seems to do its own thing, which is why it didn't work as other potions do. This should be changed to match the other consumables.
As for the other issue commented, ill have to investigate another time.
