Manual Engine Grouping for Toggle and/or Throttle Control #16
Comments
It's not? The engine toggles obey symmetry, so I find it's easy to stay balanced. In fact, it's difficult for me to get unbalanced when toggling engines. I can see VTOLs being more difficult, though. Ultimately, that will be better solved by issues #2, #3, #5, #6, and #7. I'll keep the issue for down the road. It'll form part of a more comprehensive suite of manual control options. |
Unfortunately no. Since you can only use symmetry in one axis and a VTOL On Mon, Oct 22, 2012 at 5:16 PM, Majiir Paktu [email protected]:

It's a problem I'm interested in solving, but realize there are a lot of problems I'm interested in solving. It's not my highest priority, is all. |

mumech allows for engine grouping for toggle on/off. This was buggy in Mumech (only the first group would work) but was a very useful feature, allowing for things like separate VTOL engines, Etc.
Group was assigned by a line in part.cfg.
Since it is really not possible to stay stable while toggling engines off, one at a time, under thrust, a group toggle is essential to be able to work while thrusting.
Thanks very much for this very useful plugin. Nice work!
