You try to login to slack workspace using SSO/Google etc and even after loggin in the browser, nothing happens in slack app.
This happens because of a bug that causes the slack workspace ID to be small case in the command line argument used by slack to login.

As a sort of give back .. I quickly wrote it in a bash script to parse the logic you described and converts the Slack magic accordingly

Works only with Firefox. Moreover after my Slack account was switched to 2FA, I have to copy the link from Chrome, before Firefox was called automatically using your method.

I just received feedback from Slack on my bug-report on this. They finally fixed it. I can confirm that this works now as expected. (No workaround necessary)
