Hello, this may be a very stupid question but - where is the exe file in the folder? I have stared myself blind on the files - i cannot find it.

You downloaded the master branch, it's used to edit the code and create a custom install. You can download the latest release under: https://github.com/Marqis/BtoFanControl/releases
