I see that you are definitely the lead contributor here. Your fork is SO much faster on a wroom-32 than the main branch. I can't understand why this solution isn't MUCH more prevalent. Adding new boards is a great solution to keep the project alive, but why isn't there a turnkey solution besides the un-available esp8266 variant? I've built dozens of "controllers" for myself and friends, simply because we don't want to jump into Tom BetGeorge territory and it's way cheaper to blow up a $3 ESP over a falcon. Entry into the xLights-FPP-DDP-PIXEL eco-system is dirt cheap with knowledge that expands as the wallet allows... No brainer
