R got stuck while running the monitor_load() function

R got stuck and eventually I had to quit the program using the task manager. I was trying to run the code below:

monitor_load(20150101, 20151231) %>%
monitor_subset(stateCodes= c("OR", "ID", "WA"))%>%
monitor_timeseriesPlot(style = 'gnats', ylim=c(0,300), xpd=NA)

I guess the time range was to large.
