Is looks like this library was intended to be MIT. If so, could you add a LICENCE.md file?

What is the LICENSE.md file?

It's Markdown, basically plain text except it recognizes a little bit of formatting. Alternatively, you can use one that is 100% plain text just called LICENSE and GitHub will pick it up too.

Just the regular, human-readable text content of the license goes in either one.
