a problem about microsoft text font

When I using miktex to compile my files, it is successful in Windows, cuz the font “times new roman” is bundled in the system. But in Ubuntu, this font doesn't exist. So a problem occurs: FATAL miktex-maketfm - No creation rule for font "Times New Roman". or Couldn't open `Times New Rom.cfg'.

I fix this problem by installing microsoft fonts.

fc-cache -f -v
