How to update a package when MikeTex is not up to date ?

Hi.
There was a bug in a package, the author fixed it but MikTex is still on the old version.
If I understand, MikTex only update their package once in a while (one update per month ?).

How can I do to update the package without waiting for MikTex to update ?
