Flacs downloaded with tdl dont play in Sonixd

Dont know if this is Sonixd's or tdl's fault but flacs downloaded with tdl refuse to play with sonixd.

Let me see if I can test with the software. We're not doing anything else to the file other than adding some metadata to it, so it should work.

They use react-audio-player which wraps an <audio> HTML tag. The support for flac in audio tags is pretty good They use electron 22.3.1 which corresponds to chrome v108 so flac files should totes be supported.

If re-encoding the flac with ffmpeg allows it be be played back I can try and set up a jellyfin server and replicate it.

ffmpeg -i input.flac -acodec flac output.flac

Tidal might be doing something weird with their flac files.

Weird thing about it is that files downloaded with tidal-dl work perfectly fine.

Does re-encoding the file fix it?

oof that's spooky. Can you provide an example track ID to I can try and replicate?

Dont know how but it got really inconsistent. Some songs play and some dont. This one doesnt play but some other in the same album do
