Hi,
I want to create a private modpack for 1.7.10 (yes, i know, we are in 2019) and i can't go without AM2 but the spell recipe are pretty unbalanced for this one. I'm actually using MT3 to change all recipe but i can't change spell creation recipes. So i want to make a mod that allow this.
I have 2 questions :

  • Am I losing my time because it's possible to change component recipes already?
  • Can I create my mod and make it public (maybe)?

Not already possible to do, you'd be fine making it public as long as you follow Creative Commons 3 licensing terms, in fact the license technically allows you to rebuild AM2 itself.

I'm not real on point with modding and the the easy way I found is to change recipe directly in the code, I really don't like doing this because it's not an add-on.
The other way is to rewrite all the spell shape/component/modifier with an unique item for each. Then i can change the item recipe. Like any other including using MineTweaker
