Discriminator added to all Queries when Polymorphism is not enabled #3053

This PR tries to ensmarten the inclusion of discriminator values to only the bare essentials to avoid unncessary indexing requirements.

fixes #2833

@danielmerchant @dfjones if you want to look over this diff and let me know what you think, that'd be great. @dfjones I know you've moved onward and upward so feel free to disregard this PR if you'd like. Just thought I'd mention just in case it's still stuck in your head the way my brain refuses to let go. :)

Left two nitpicky comments, other than that, changes look good. I'm also wondering if there's any documentation that should be updated to reflect this change in behavior, beyond the next release notes.
