Stumbled upon all the custom templates available here, when i attempted to upload one, was met with a "Failed - import files from previous versions can not be imported" error. Any work around to this?

Hi syndeotech,

Unfortunately I don't work for an MSP any more and don't have an N-Central installation, so I can no longer help maintain the templates.

Somebody who has upgraded their existing N-Central server may be able to re-export them and commit the new template files.

Hi syndeotech,

Were there any particular services you were after? I don't believe we have the entire range imported here. I might try exporting one, and diffing with the older XML. There may be a simple XSLT sheet to update to the newer schema.

I'm not aware of any way to do this automatically. Previously, we've been told be N-able the service needs to be exported to generate the new XML which is unhelpful if you don't already have the service..

EDIT: on the NRC, there's an old post stating you can change the service templates version, and the import should work:

This was back in 2012 though, so if the schema has changed more work may be required.

James,

How do I go about committing code to this repository? I have updated the code to work with ImageManager 7.0.2 and would like to get it up here. I have Visual Studio 2015, but I'm unfamiliar with GitHub...

Hi Clint,

Git has a steep initial learning curve, particularly if you're new to version control. However, you don't need to understand too much to do most things.

This tutorial should cover what you need here: https://guides.github.com/activities/hello-world/
