Description

Check that a checksum of a file that is retrieved from metacat matches the checksum in the sysmeta

Procedure

  • retrieve a file and its system metadata
  • calculate the checksum of the retrieved file according to the algorithm given in the sysmeta using digest::digest
  • compare the two
