At first, thank you for the greatest document for RPKI.
I'm now interested in translation of this doc for Japanese community.

Using i18n feature of Sphinx, I've started to translate in .po files.
Could you accept PRs which I'm going to make for ja and host the translation on your Read The Docs project?

I read the issue #23, and then I tried a framework setting. Now I see my test RTD project show ja translation.

You might know, but let me share what I tried:

  1. (fork the repo to https://github.com/nstgt/rpki-doc)
  2. Create .po files in source/locale/ja/LC_MESSAGES by sphinx-intl command and write Japanese in the files. (see ja-translation-for-general for generated .po files)
  3. Create RTD project rpki-nstgt-test based on my forked repo nstgt/rpki-doc. (this is correspond to your RTD project)
  4. Create RTD project rpki-nstgt-test-ja based on my forked repo nstgt/rpki-doc, then set the language for this repo as Japanese in admin setting.
  5. In the project rpki-nstgt-test, add rpki-nstgt-test-ja as translation project in admin setting > translation.

First off, thank you for looking into translations!

Secondly, the person on our side who is most involved in this (@AlexanderBand) is currently on holiday. Can we get back to you on this next week? We welcome the idea of translations, but we just want to be sure that they are done in a way that we can support them best.

Another update: I've been in contact with the good people at Weblate for a free account for this open source project. This should allow us to manage translations in a more streamlined way. I'm awaiting their feedback.

@AlexanderBand Thank you for the update! It'd help our activity.
As for Japanese translation, my colleague and me finished more than half of the part (GENERAL and RPKI TECHNOLOGY) that we were going to translate. I hope we can publish the translation soon and get some feedbacks from the community.
Thank you.

@nstgt I've set up a Weblate trial account and I'm now testing with the FAQ doc:
https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/rpki-doc/faq/
I haven't quite figured it out, but I'm making progress.

@AlexanderBand This looks nice and easy to do translation!
Take your time and tell me when it's ready. Thank you for your support.
