NCO has requested that EMC create a streamlined way to send NCO Dataflow an email when dcom/ files are missing in ops EVS. This might be done by creating a new EVS script that checks for dcom/ files and then sends an email as opposed to this being done internally within existing EVS scripts. Specifically, NCO mentioned the following:
NCO Dataflow would like to get one email about a missing OSI-SAF file rather than 4 emails about about a missing OSI-SAF files (i.e., one email from each component of EVS that uses OSI-SAF).
NCO does not want one email per missing forecast hour in dcom/. One email, with all of the missing forecast hours/files listed, is preferable.
NCO would like us to remove the "Missing File Email" sections of our existing ops EVS code because these sections aren't used in operations. The new "missing email" script should also be able to run in development if we are also removing the "Missing File Email" sections of code.
