WebSocket Hot Reload Failures with Updated Webpack Configuration

The reconfigured webpack dev server approach works however with a small hot module failure.

It seems the process isn't porting over correctly during listening and a runtime error appears in the console. It does not affect the actual application; it merely hinders the development experience working with assistive tools.
