not reproducible with current in-game guns but if a gun with a longer burst fire would appear in the future (VVed xray rifle on screenshot) it could happen
technically you can reproduce it with the current assault rifle, just smash Q as soon as you fire and you technically get it
I don't really see how you can "solve" this since burstfire shouldn't stop when you drop the gun

Not sure how to reproduce this - looking at the code, burst fire is a for loop, so it should only fire the number of shots, or runtime, shouldn't keep firing. Is there a branch where this can be reproduced?
Cannot reproduce this with the assault rifle either on 3-round bursts or full auto. Please reopen with more detailed reproduction instructions or an example branch.
