Alexa turning ON/OFF next room A/C when not specifying the local one #484
Comments
I’m thinking that this could be one of two things 1 - Alexa doing something wacky on her side and getting confused about which device is which or which device is in which group 2 - The device mapping between Alexa and homebridge is out of alignment. Asking Alexa to discover devices again will refresh the mapping. She is likely to say no new devices found, but the mapping is refreshed. As the full name works I’m thinking it is likely number 1, but you can try 2 and see if it resolves. |
Tried everything, Re discovering devices sometimes works fine for a couple of hours and then again it Breaks. When I'm on the living room "Alexa turn on the A/C" (Turns on the bedroom A/C) Echo Dots are in the correct group (Bedroom, living Room) along with the lights and A/Cs (No problem with Apple Homekit nor siri) |
@djcrawleravp Can you reach to me directly on discord, want to look at the logs on the cloud server, and need your account details. |

Until yesterday everything worked fine, now when I'm on my living room and say "Alexa turn on the A/C" It'll turn on my bedroom instead of my living room, I have to specify "Livingroom A/C" in order to use it, My echo is in configured in the same group/room as the proper A/C
