I'm still interested in working on this of course 🕺 |
I'll want to work on this too. 💯 |
👍 |
Thanks folks. We'll wait till the end of this week, 23 October, for more people to join, and then proceed. |
Interested! :) |
Hi! |
I would be interested in joining this task force. I can volunteer a couple of hours per week :) |
Thanks for all your interest @mstimberg @brenthuisman @ree-gupta @elianecr @dissagaliyeva Please fill out this whenisgood as soon as possible, and latest by the end of this week (28th October) so we can have an initial meeting next week to get things started: Please remember to select your time zone when filling it in. And, please select all the slots that work for you. The more slots we all select, the more likely we are able to find one that works for us all. |
Hi folks, just a reminder---please fill in the whenisgood if you haven't yet: |
Hi folks! Thanks for filling in the whenisgood. We couldnt' find a time to fit everyone, which is, unfortunately, expected in a global community. Sorry about that. We'll keep meeting notes etc. as usual, and we'll need to decide on an async discussion platform too. We will meet on Wednesday, November 2, at 1500 UTC on our usual Jitsi link: https://meet.jit.si/moderated/27ddeaff25933944fea1937f182235d48de7c2dd59dc2f84f8eebb26a8fc07ab Calendar invite here (you'll need to rename the file to remove the software-wg-simulator-selector-taskforce-initial.ics.txt I'll see you all there :) |
Hi everyone, Just a reminder of the meeting today. Here's the jitsi link: https://meet.jit.si/moderated/27ddeaff25933944fea1937f182235d48de7c2dd59dc2f84f8eebb26a8fc07ab Cheers |
I've started the jitsi call now folks, please join at your convenience. |
Our shared doc folks: https://hackmd.io/@sanjayankur31/B1thUbeSo |
Hi everyone, a quick reminder that the task force will meet tomorrow (Wednesday, Nov 15th) at 14:00 UTC. I will share the meeting link during the day. Don't forget to have a look at the existing simulator lists before the meeting and note your thoughts on inclusion/exclusion criteria, useful tags/metadata, etc. in the shared doc: https://hackmd.io/@sanjayankur31/B1thUbeSo See you tomorrow 👋 |
I'll be coming straight from a departmental seminar in a different part of the building so I'll probably be 5 mins late. |
hey guys! did the meeting start? I can't access through the other link :c |
Hi @dissagaliyeva No, it did not start yet, it'll start in ~40min at 14:00 UTC: |
@mstimberg thank you! I think I will never get used to the time zones lmao |
Hi guys! I am in a meeting with my supervisor, maybe I will be a few
minutes late too...

Hi everyone, our meeting starts in a few minutes. I've created a Zoom meeting here, hope Zoom is ok for everyone: https://hackmd.io/@mstimberg/SyGzUwMUj |
The Zoom link is actually a HackMD link. |
And obviously it would be helpful to not just give two different links to the shared document, but also an actual link to the Zoom meeting... here it is: |
Reminder, we'll have another task force meeting this Wednesday (Nov 30th) at 1400 UTC. Here's a Zoom meeting link: https://cnrs.zoom.us/j/95982304898?pwd=NXZlSVJGRHM3QTloNUZFVllpbkVTdz09 I tried to consolidate the notes from the previous meetings a bit, you can find them here: https://hackmd.io/@mstimberg/HJXqYPMPo I also realized a bit late that I promised to send links to review papers about different types of models – here are two papers I had in mind: |
July 31st sounds good! I have a teaching-related commitment at 2 pm CET but it should not exceed an hour. See you in two weeks then! Sorry again for not checking my notifications. |
Again, no worries – sorry for only asking at the very last minute 😆 |
Hi everyone. If you are around, shall we have a meeting today, July 31st, 13:00 UTC (time in your timezone)? The meeting link: Even though things did not advance much lately, would be good to have a chat about how to proceeded. |
Sure, let's do a quick one, just to get the ball rolling again? I should have more time now that CNS etc. are over :) |
I might join in a few minutes later but I will be there. Looking forward! |
Great, see you then! |
Hey all! I hope you had a relaxing holiday. If I remember correctly, we had scheduled our meeting after the hiatus today. Unfortunately, my thesis committee meeting is also scheduled today around the same time. I will go through the meeting notes. Sorry. |
I haven't got the meeting in my calendar for today either. I guess we need to restart them. @mstimberg : should we restart them next week or the week after at our regular time? @ree-gupta : how does that sound? |
Hi @ree-gupta and @sanjayankur31, yes, I think the plan was to restart them today but I also had nothing in my calendar 😬 Both next week (18th) or the week after (25th) would work for me. |
I prefer the week after (25th). It will prevent potential conflicts with my other meeting on Wednesdays when the clocks change. Would that be okay? |
Yes, sounds good. Let's do that 👍 |
Works for me as well 👍 |
@mstimberg : I'm afraid I've been overwhelmed by start of term work and haven't managed to do anything (again!). Happy to meet for a short one, just to get us back on track if you think that'll help? |
@sanjayankur31 I did not do anything, either 😒 … From my side, we could have a general meeting today (or another time – for now, it is only us two). |
Should we do the same slot in 2 weeks, the start of year tornado should have passed by then 🌪️ (also working on the ocns newsletter which needs to go out early october, will e-mail you separately about that :)) |
Sounds like a good plan, let's do that! |
Well, this time for real, let's meet again today, Oct 9th, 13:00 UTC (time in your timezone)? The meeting link: Hope to see you then 👋 |
See you in a bit! I may be a bit late to join. We have a student visiting the lab who we have to show our work to (to see if they will do a project with us) and I'm next in the queue. Waiting for them to be passed on to me at the mo! |
@mstimberg should we start at 30 past? Better than you sitting by yourself in the zoom room. Sorry about this, still not received the student :( |
Sure, works for me as well 👍 |
um, actually my meeting that was supposed to end at the hour is running a lot over time, so I will only join in a few minutes… |
will be there in 5! |
The meeting link: |
....aaactually, we are going to postpone this meeting. See you on November 6th! |
Sorry, I have a work meeting that clashes with us today 😿 |
👋 Hi everyone, a quick reminder that we have a meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Nov 6th, 14:00 UTC (time in your timezone)! Please note that the UTC time changed, but the actual meeting time is the same as previously due to the end of daylight saving time. The meeting link: |
@mstimberg : sorry, not been able to make much progress on things, defer to next meeting in 2 weeks? |
Same here 😬 In two weeks sounds good ! |
👋 Hi everyone, the usual reminder that we have a meeting scheduled for today, Dec 4th, 14:00 UTC (time in your timezone)! The meeting link: |
Cool, see you there. |
