                <p>OHIF provides open source software that you can use to accelerate the development of your medical imaging projects.  The software is provided under the MIT license, which means it can be used in commercial software products without having to release the source code to your product. The software is professionally engineered with high quality documentation, examples and unit tests.  The system is highly modular allowing you to pick and choose the parts you need and also adapt it into your existing system if desired. Contributing changes and features to OHIF are welcome but will undergo an extensive review process.  This review process is necessary to ensure that the code maintains a certain level of quality, but can also be viewed as a good way to improve your software development skills in the same way that code reviews do.
