Decide what the API needs to do, like scanning barcodes and working on all devices, then test options like Google ML Kit. Make sure it’s easy to use, accurate, and keeps user data safe.
If the APIs are too expensive or hard to use, simplify by focusing on basic scanning or manual entry. Add features like offline scanning or support for more barcodes later if needed.
