Is it possible you're using another language than English, I have seen this behavior if I'm logged in using the French language. |
Thank you for the quick response. You are correct, I was using Spanish but now I have put English and I get this error: Not Found The "Register Parent" button still does not appear. |
Maybe clear your cache. |
Even after clearing the browser cache, I am still getting the same error "Not Found". I also cannot find the "Register Parent" button anywhere. I am unable to register parents anywhere. |
Hi openSISAdmin, Thank you for your help with teaching me how to register parents. I appreciate your patience and guidance. I have a suggestion for improving the user experience. I think the "Parents" menu should be renamed to "Representatives" and have a button to add representatives, just like the "Staff" menu. This would make it easier for users to find the right place to register parents. I also had a problem with backing up the database. I am using Windows 10 and XAMPP. The database was created by the root user without a password on a test computer. I am not sure if the fact that the database has no password is the problem with backing up. In fact, now that I think about it, PHPMyAdmin does not allow you to log in if the database does not have a password. Could this be the problem? Thanks again for your help. I am reporting a failure in the OpenSIS database backup and parent registration features.
Steps to Reproduce:
Log in to OpenSIS as a school administrator.
Go to the System Administration page.
Click on the Database Backup tab.
Click on the Create Backup button.
Expected Behavior:
A new window should open with a progress bar indicating the progress of the database backup.
Actual Behavior:
A new window opens, but the progress bar does not appear. The window remains open indefinitely.
Additional Information:
I have also tried to register a parent in OpenSIS, but I am unable to do so. The Add Parent button is not present on the Parents page.
System Information:
OpenSIS version: 9.1
Operating system: Windows 10 Pro
Web browser: Google Chrome
Expected Resolution:
I would like to see these issues resolved as soon as possible.
