how to stop iCloud to download to my Mac? #23
Comments
piss me for a year, wish to solve it too |
As sonda123 said above, this extension works great to remove locally stored items, but the iCloud simply downloads more to fill up the space. Until Apple fixes this issue, is there a better way to manage this? |
It consumes all my network as well, it takes whatever bandwidth I have, 5MB/s, 20MB/s or 50MB/s, rendered me unable to open web pages. Really a bad issue of iCloud. Currently I'm doing two ways, both are terrible solutions
Looking forward to any better solution |
I use Hazel from Noodlesoft to watch the folders I don't want on a machine and then run 'brctl evict' (which is what iCloud-Control does) against that folder. It sucks as the data still gets downloaded and every so often iCloud decides its going to download everything again .. but this approach does keep the space managed and continues to allow me to sync the things I want synched! |
yesterday I successfully used your app to clear 50gb of space in my Mac.
But today, iCloud is downloading back and I can't stop it.
Can you modify the app to prevent iCloud to download selected items to the Mac?
Thank you very much.
