Hi. I am not familiar with the scenario you are speaking about. I never worked with SpringBoot.
Kotlin: Java lambdas are analyzed. If you have a lambda this::myMethod it determines myMethodoth object this to be the slot. If the slot is represented by a meta method it makes a native conection. If this is not the case it creates a signal to slot object connection. The slot object is the lambda expression instance itself. I believe the behaviour in Kotlin is the same.
