Discord?

Hey, I wanted to know if you have a community chat available.

Seems like a promising development, would be great to have the ability for feedback and dev talks.

I too find this project interesting and want to communicate / contribute over my primary social platform. Fediverse would be a second option.

Moving developer attention over to a discord may detract from developer development time. Right now development seems steady. I say maybe wait on the social media injection of chaos?

I too would like a community Discord. I'll give it 3 days and then I'll just set one up if no one that's associated with ChatDev (or anybody else) does it.

I'm trying to run ChatDev locally and I'd like to have a place to troubleshoot with people where replies don't take a week (like they do in issues on github)

Thank you for your suggestions. We built a Discord community (https://discord.gg/kgKjbXmU). Because we just learned to use it recently, we need some time to get familiar with it. We hope we and the community can help you understand the project and answer your questions.

Discord link is expired. When creating the invite link, need to click "Edit invite link" and change "EXPIRE AFTER" to "Never".

Some very basic advise for the devs about the discord server.

• Put a link to the server in the repo readme, that's step one and takes about 30 seconds.
• Find someone to run the discord for you. Just scroll through the messages on discord and find someone who seems like they're kind and can communicate and then ask them to run it. Make them a mod with full privileges'.
• The person who runs the discord will already knows this but create some channels in the server, that's step 1.01 on a server.
