X button in Discover Search is Never Unhidden

On the discover page, when a search term is present in the search field, the X button at the right side of the field is never unhidden (it has a "hide" class).

It should be shown when the search field has a term in it.

The X (and the field when active) should not cover the Personalized/Random tabs.
