Description of the issue

From #1328 and OEO dev meeting 48:

"isAbout" relation has to be replaced by more specific relations

The object property is about is very generic. In a lot of cases, it would be helpful have a subproproperty of is about with a limited range.

The following subproperties exists, but they are rather unstructured.

  • 'economic value of'
  • 'has considered region'
  • 'has interacting region'
  • 'has scenario year'
  • 'has study region'
  • 'has study subregion'
  • 'quantity value of'

E.g. given that we already have four regional subproperties, an intermediary property like has spatial region might be useful. Then axioms like 'is about' some 'spatial region' can be refined to 'has spatial region' some 'spatial region'.

Proposal for has spatial region: An is-about-relation between an information content entity and a spatial region that describes that the information content entity is about a spatial region.

Make existing object properties subproperties of `has spatial region`:
* `has study region`
* `has considered region`
* `has interacting region`
* `has study subregion`
