We need to pull students into the world of diagnostic keys. In chatting with Emily today we came up with the following plan:
(1) create 10 unit trays with at least 1 or 2 specimens per taxonomic unit that are NOT families we cover. Students, working in pairs, will key these specimens out and turn in the unit tray with det labels at the end of the semester
(2) pull together UPDATED diagnostic keys (to family) for each order; avail them as PDFs if possible
