What to filter for in the left column sidebar of a Category page

What if the filter could select for resources by hours of operation?

Currently we have only two categories with enough subcategory items that a subcategory filter makes sense, because on all the rest those listings can be seen in one screen or by scrolling down not too far.

Reading this piece makes me realize how important the immediate needs are for a mobile app used by people in need:

Users of services do not trust information provided by ‘the system’ as much as information passed on by another service user. Though users of services are often among the first to know of changes to programs and services they have no established way of sharing that knowledge.

We intend to activate that population to share information, validated onsite in person. To that end, we have built a simple mobile-first tool which enables people to create and validate information about social services.

I think for people in need, a useful filter could be for hours of operation, one that returns all services that are open right now. Maybe it could filter for services open that week, open tomorrow, that day, or right now. Ideally, the mobile version would allow them to schedule a reminder, some kind of push notification for services they want to make it to.
