Our slack is most active during weekdays (and mostly during American daytime hours on those days), during quieter periods (e.g. weekends) bot posts can outnumber human posts. Crier activity should probably be reduced significantly on weekends and perhaps slightly during (American) nighttime hours.
Is it correct to state that there's no throttling for bot posts in announcer.js? From what I can see looks like the only time related item is how often to check the airtable for new bot event messages.
