What's happened?

when viewing a user profile the center menu dropdown shows nothing - should show something, (username or Menu) to tell users its a menu?
is this normal or should it show something other than the square box with 3 small lines

Steps to reproduce:

1. login and click on a user profile
2. look in the top center menu area
3. just a box and 3 small lines
