The current way to deal with secrets (plain secret in file) is not ideal and prone to vulnerabilities, moreover
there is no access control or no backups (one would need to add some manual scripts for it) and no audit logging.
One idea is to add support for AWS key management to be able to use AWS to store and manage secrets
