Ran through installing Pelican and doing an "object get" with the test file. It did not produce a progress bar at all.

What version of Pelican and how large was the test object? I think I've observed that the progress bar is omitted if the download happens very fast.

@jhiemstrawisc @turetske As best as I can tell, at this point, the intended design is to remove from the terminal's display any and all progress bars before the client exits (e.g.,

case <-pb.done:
).

So, if the transfer proceeds quickly enough, the user will never see a progress bar for it, especially in light of #1814.
