documentation
Dancer, the minimal-effort oriented web application framework for Perl, is evolving fast. Documentation is not always up to date. Pleas hlp to improve documentation. To do so, you can use
- the mailing list: http://lists.perldancer.org/cgi-bin/listinfo/dancer-users
- It’s also possible to use GitHub to submit a patch, see the contribute page for more details about collaborating in Dancer development.
- you can also reach the development team on irc.perl.org, chan #dancer.
Documentation for Danceis currently available in multiple places and various stages of completeness:
- CPAN, http://search.cpan.org/~sukria/Dancer/
- on Dancer’s homepage, http://perldancer.org
- on github, http://github.com/sukria/Dancer/wikis
Maybe you also want to count the arious readme files and the pod text inside the modules.
The best, most up-to-date and easiest to access documentation is probably the one on CPAN. It has both a gentle tutorial-style introduction, the cookbook and a more systematic overview coming with the module. There is also documntation of other important topics like deployment etc. Also on CPAN, it is easy to switch between the documentation for different version of Dancer.
The homepage gives it a good short introduction, but does not reflect most recent changes.
So far, this wiki has not provided much up to date info, but it could become a place for the community to improve Dancer documentation in the future.
