I still have the red/grey/black bar charts to demonstrate the worst case scenarios along with this plot. I put one histogram as an inset to take away whitespace, but I'm not sure that's the best way.

I like it (the main histogram with an inset).

I agree - maybe worth reducing axis labels of inset slightly so they don't conflict with main labels?
