Terms and Conditions for AI-PGF Program

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the AI-PGF (Artificial Intelligence Enabled Public Goods Funding) program ("Program") operated by Potluck Foundation, DAO LLC, a Marshall Island DAO ("the DAO"). By applying to or participating in the Program, you agree to comply with these Terms.

2. Program Overview

The AI-PGF program is designed to fund open-source projects that build AI applications and primitives incorporating the NEAR Protocol blockchain. The program aims to streamline the open funding stack and limit overhead in public goods funding.

3. Eligibility

3.1. Participants must be at least 18 years of age or meet the minimum age for receiving cryptocurrency awards in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher.

3.2. Nationals or residents of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Sudan, or the region of Crimea are ineligible to receive rewards.

3.3. Participation is prohibited in countries where it is unlawful for residents to hold or receive cryptocurrencies.

4. Application Process

4.1. Applicants must submit a proposal through the designated application process.

4.2. Proposals will be reviewed by the DAO team and evaluated based on the criteria outlined in the program rubric.

4.3. Successful applicants will be required to complete a KYC (Know Your Customer) or KYB (Know Your Business) process before receiving any funding.

5. Grant Levels and Funding

5.1. Grants are available at different levels based on project scope:

  • $20,000: Full MVP build (2-3 months)
  • $10,000: Small build (1-2 months)
  • $5,000: Quickstart MVP (< 1 month)
  • $1,000: Bounty (< 2 weeks)

5.2. Funding will be distributed in two installments for grants above $1,000: 50% upon approval and 50% upon project completion.

6. Project Requirements

6.1. Projects must incorporate a part of the NEAR Protocol stack or use NEAR data.

6.2. All projects must have a significant open-source AI element.

6.3. Projects should focus on improving funding workflows within the open funding stack.

6.4. Projects must be published on GitHub or another code management tool that leverages git, under the MIT license or another lenient open-source license allowing for reuse in commercial settings.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1. Participants retain ownership of their intellectual property.

7.2. Projects must be open-source and published on GitHub or another code management tool that leverages git with the current deployed/updated version.

7.3. By participating in the Program, you grant Potluck Protocol and Potluck Labs, Inc. the rights to integrate your technology into their systems.

8. Reporting and Milestones

8.1. Participants are required to submit progress reports and meet agreed-upon milestones.

8.2. Final project completion must be submitted and approved before receiving the final payment.

9. Revenue and Commercialization

9.1. Participants are allowed and encouraged to generate revenue from their projects to ensure sustainability.

10. Program Changes

10.1. The DAO reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time without prior notice.

10.2. Changes to these Terms will be communicated to participants and posted on the Program website.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1. The DAO is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from participation in the Program.

11.2. Participants agree to indemnify and hold the DAO harmless from any claims arising from their participation in the Program.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

12.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

12.2. Any disputes arising from the Program will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of [Arbitration Body].
