Hi @xyont, thank you for sharing that. Seems to be a nice little frame analysis library. However, structural analysis are not comfortable to be performed in a coding format like Calcpad. What we need is a GUI with full drafting capabilities as we have for the other software of ours. Also, structural analysis is a completely different kind of a software and it is not something we can stich it just like that to Calcpad. It goes far beyond its main purpose. Just the opposite, Calcpad is something that can be embedded into FEA software to make little design worksheets that reads from the model input data and analysis results. |

thanks @Proektsoftbg for explanation, i mean less complicated than common 3D structural analysis software, even Tekla Tedds 2D frame features with fully graphical interfaces. provide an input of problem definition by parametric approach, than shown plot all or some requested results. this can be useful since not all problem in designing are complex enough, e.g continuous beam, single storey frames and gable/arch, joist truss, footing by spring support, retaining wall and box culvert. |

Take a look at this software i shared with Ned in this Topic:

It's a language for structural analysis, maybe this can do what you want.

right, i was seeing the threads before. however, it seems 2D frame/truss library embeded is a different things, for example Tekla has full 3D structural analysis called Structural Designer but still embeded 2D frame analysis in their Tedds stand alone application similar to Calcpad. Tekla Tedds are too complex, table values based user input to define arbitrary 2D structural analysis. i'm thinking in a different ways inside Calcpad, this can be parameterized by sub-programs. |

hello,
continuous beam, 2D truss/frame are common problem in mechanical or structural design.
it seems to be useful when CalcPad can do such as calculation inside, may using available solver (FEAlite2D) is possible.
greetings,
