In que 8.. there are 2 control set entries which are ControlSet001 & ControlSet002. What is the difference between them? |

Windows maintains multiple control sets , they have mostly same information but are slightly different. For eg:
In que 8 we need information on last boot, hence we go for controlset001 |

ControlsetXXX can be viewed as backups of CurrentControlSet subkey |
