I'm busy helping someone with an issue and I'm seriously wondering if Depth is more hassle than it's worth.

We could save a lot of mental and computational headaches if it just went away. The question is... what do we lose that can't be described by other existing mechanisms like layer keys and batch order?

Historical context: I added depth very, very early on because that's what Flash did and I was used to it, although Indigo's notion of depth is backwards to Flash.

Also, turns out you can add depth to layers! Did not know you could do that. Which is bad since, no doubt, I wrote the code. The users don't stand a cat's chance in hell do they? 😆
